Lok Janshakti Party is disappointed with the appointment of interlocutors for resolving Jammu and Kashmir crisis. Our President, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, had visited J & K as a part of all parties delegation sent there by the Prime Minister. Shri Paswan had taken the initiative of breaking ice with the Hurriat leaders. His efforts were aimed at involving separatists into political dialogue with the government of India. The LJP had, therefore, told the government of India that to initiate the process of dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir senior politicians were to be involved. Instead, the government has appointed an academic, a journalist and an administrator as “interlocutors” to revive political process in J&K.
It has deeply disappointed the people of J&K who are describing the government move as a “joke”. LJP demands that the government must nominate senior and credible politicians as interlocutors to revive political process in J&K.
