On the auspicious occasion of Sampoorn Kranti Diwas a meeting of Lok Janshakti National Office Bearers was held at 12, Janpath, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Party President, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan. Addressing the  Office Bearers Shri Paswan asked the party men to come forward and take-up the cause of corruption,  secularism and social justice. Paying glowing tribute to Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan, he narrated in detail the vital role played by great leader in the freedom struggle, in the student movement and the movement for the complete change. He said that though a change of government took place in 1977, but the ideals and aspirations of great leader is yet not achieved.

He lamented that those ideals have been lost in the corridors of power and government and asked LJP workers to come forward and bring the ideals of complete change to the common masses which was the dream of Jai Prakash Narayan. 

He also asked the LJP workers to fight for poor, downtrodden, minorities, women, price fixation, against regionalism and any kind of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, language, nationalism or colour of skin.

He stressed that LJP strongly believe that in case of a conflict between rich-poor, man-women, our workers must stand for poor and women. In case of conflict between majority and minority the party should stand for minorities and that in case of conflict between government and people, the party must support the cause of people.

Criticizing the falling standard of politics, he said that in politics today ideals have been replaced by opportunitism, the motto of service has been completely taken over by professionalism and profitability. “On this occasion I ask my workers to stay away from this kind of politics and take-up genuine cause of common man with the motto of serving the nation”. This would be our real and sincere gratitude to great leader Jai Prakash Narayan Ji, he said.
