The Congress Party has been running a campaign against the “Sanghi terror” for a long time now. Its General Secretary Shri Digvijay Singh has taken a lead in this regard. He was among the first ones to point out that an “extremist Hindu” terrorist network was operating in the country. The arrest of people like Pragya Thakur and Aseemanand has confirmed Shri Digvijav Singh’s doubts.
Aseemanand too has now confessed that he was the mastermind in Malegaon, Ajmer dargha, Mecca masjid Hyderabad and Samjhauta Express bomb blasts. Yet the innocent Muslim boys falsely implicated and arrested in theses cases are still languishing behinds the bars. All efforts to get them released by various civil society groups are still opposed by the central government agencies. The CBI, for instance, only last week on 28th January opposed the bail application in the Malegaon Bomb blast case. Now as per press reports, a team of CBI has landed in Malegaon causing concern and fear among the Muslims of the town.
Why is the CBI still working against the Muslim boys accused in Malegaon case? Is the CBI not aware of the much publicized Aseemanand confession in this regard? Does the Congress Party and the Central Government think on different lines in these cases? We demand from the Central Government to clear its stand in these cases.
We also urge the CBI to facilitate the release on bail of all the nine innocent boys who were falsely implicated in the Malegaon case. We hope that the CBI will not oppose the bail applications in the next hearing of the Malegaon case slated for hearing on February 8th 2011.
We demand that the accused falsely implicated in the above cases and still languishing in jails were released on bail without any further delay.
